BOB DUNN JOINS AMMONITE
TO LEAD HOUSTON PRESENCE

Ammonite Resources is expanding its presence in Houston with the addition of Senior Exploration Advisor Robert A. Dunn to the Ammonite Team. Bob brings over 30 years of experience as a petroleum geologist, exploration manager, specialist in domestic and international new ventures, and project financial analyst.  He will be the "point person" for Ammonite consulting activities in the greater Houston area.

Prior to becoming a consultant in 1997, Dunn was Vice President Exploration of NOMECO Oil & Gas Co. from 1984 to 1997.  NOMECO was the wholly owned E&P subsidiary of NYSE listed CMS Energy. During his tenure at NOMECO the company doubled in size every three years, reaching a net asset value of over $750 million by 1997. Bob left NOMECO in 1997 to open and manage a District Office in Houston for Alberta Energy Co. (now EnCana, Inc.) with a focus on international new ventures and deepwater exploration. Dunn was instrumental in leading Alberta Energy Co. into the deepwater play in the Gulf of Mexico. In his capacity as a consultant, he has also served as chief geotechnical advisor to a large energy capital provider, and has advised numerous independent oil and gas operators and investors.

Dunn holds a B.A. degree in Geology and an MBA in finance from Western Michigan University. He began his career with the Geological Survey Division of the State of Michigan in 1969. In 1974, he was recruited by Northern Michigan Exploration Company (subsequently renamed NOMECO Oil & Gas Co) to generate prospects in the Niagaran Reef Play. He progressed steadily into management and was elected Vice President Exploration in 1984. From 1984 until 1997 Dunn managed both the domestic and international exploration and development program for NOMECO, with particular emphasis on the U.S. Gulf Coast, South America, Southeast Asia, and West Africa. During this period he established new domestic and international exploration teams in Houston and acquired new exploration blocks in Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon, Colombia, and Venezuela. He also contributed to the completion of mergers worth over $100 million.
